Management Team

Diane Kruse, Founder/CEO

Diane Kruse is the founder and CEO of the Zoomy Communications, a leader in the Fiber to the Home industry. She has 20 years of telecommunications industry experience, the last 11 as an entrepreneur starting and managing successful telecommunication companies. Ms. Kruse has provided management consulting and negotiation consulting services for AT&T Broadband, Media One, Qwest, 360 Networks, and Level 3 Communications, and held numerous sales management positions with Sprint Communications. She developed Business and Financial Plans for several municipalities that are deploying community broadband services and FTTH networks, and wrote the Statewide Telecommunications and Broadband Services Plan for the State of Colorado. Ms. Kruse currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Fiber-to-the-Home Council, a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote, educate and accelerate Fiber-to-the-Home deployments.

Ms. Kruse received the “Top 40 Denver Business Leaders Under 40 Award” presented by the Denver Business Journal for her leadership in the Colorado business community. She is a frequent speaker at national telecommunications conferences on community broadband networks and FTTH networks for real estate developers.

Gary Barr, Chief Financial Officer

Gary Barr brings a wealth of real estate development, finance and technology experience to Zoomy Communications. A lifelong entrepreneur, he was a founder of Silicon Valley Bank, a $5 Billion commercial bank recognized as a top lender to emerging growth companies. Mr. Barr served SVB in a variety of roles, including acting CEO and as a member of the board of directors for over 20 years. Mr. Barr was the founder and CEO of a public REIT that acquired, developed, and managed commercial property throughout the western United States.

Charles Bell, Vice President, Technology

Charles Bell has over 18 years of experience in IT and networking with particular expertise in the design, engineering and implementation of high-performance voice, video and data optical solutions for green-field developments. Prior to joining ZoomyCo, he designed, engineered, built and operated the Fiber to the Premises network for Eagle Ranch, CO, before the network was purchased by CenturyTel. In 1994 Mr. Bell founded Bell Electronics, a company that provided network design and support for workstations/servers.

Nicky Soupal, Vice President, Operations

Nicky Soupal has broad background in construction project management, including extensive experience with Richmond Homes and Kaufman and Broad (Kbhome), the largest homebuilders in the state of Colorado. Soupal began her career at GCS Consulting Services in the asset management department where she managed the high volume production of over 1500 HUD homes, awarding and negotiating all contracts.
