Awards, Accolades to Zoomy Communications FTTH Developments

Cornerstone Awards Celebrate FTTH Network Deployments

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, CO — September 28, 2006 —Two housing developments built around state-of-the-art fiber optic networks were recognized with Cornerstone Awards at the Broadband Properties Summit this month. Zoomy Communications' Open Access System (OASYS™) powers the Fiber to the Home (FTTH) networks at Rockfire-at-the-Lake near Topeka, Kansas and The Village at Tradition near Biloxi, Mississippi. OASYS is a high-performance fiber network that offers open access to multiple service providers. Designed, built and operated by Zoomy, OASYS delivers all communications services to the community over a single fiber.

Rockfire-at-the-Lake, recognized for Best Midwest Development with FTTH, features the first open access FTTH network in Kansas. Jes Santaularia, president of Rockfire-at-the-Lake, said the developer is committed to the family oriented life style of the Topeka community and that, "FTTH is a technology that allows the residents and businesses of Topeka to compete effectively on a national basis."
