Zoomy Communications Earns Fiber To The Home Certification
FTTH Council Program Identifies High Quality Fiber Network Providers
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, CO — October 4, 2006 Ranchers celebrate being stamped USDA Prime and furniture polish makers jump for joy at the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval; now Fiber to the Home (FTTH) networking leader Zoomy Communications has their own title to celebrate: The Fiber-Connected Home certification from the FTTH Council. The certification recognizes fiber optic service that meets the requirements for FTTH access-delivering services to the home over the highest capacity, highest quality access technology available. Zoomy's OASYS network is among the first products ever certified by the FTTH Council's Fiber-Connected Home review program.
"The FTTH Council has very high standards for certifying companies for the Fiber-Connected Home mark," said Joe Savage, president of the FTTH Council. "Zoomy has demonstrated a strategic commitment to FTTH deployment and their networks exceed the certification requirements."
Zoomy has deployed fiber or has under contract more than 40,000 homes in more than 40 real estate developments and municipalities. Zoomy's Open Access System (OASYS™) is a unique FTTH network that offers open access to multiple service providers. OASYS is a high-performance fiber network that delivers all communications services to the community over a single fiber. The network is designed, built and operated by Zoomy Communications.
The Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Council's network certification effort will enable consumers to identify and confirm 100% fiber optic broadband connections to their homes. With this program, homeowners can rest assured that they are receiving the unrivaled benefits that broadband access over FTTH networks deliver. As part of the Fiber-Connected Home certification program, service providers whose access installations meet the FTTH Council standard will be certified and licensed to deploy a Fiber-Connected Home badge to their subscribers, signifying a 100% fiber connection to the home.
